“The regulatory profession is growing and changing rapidly along with the overall global healthcare industry,” said RAPS Executive Director Sherry Keramidas, PhD, CAE. “Whereas once regulatory professionals may have been regarded as focused narrowly on submission or compliance activities, today they are increasingly being called upon to take on key business and strategic roles in their organizations. As the premier global association for the regulatory profession, RAPS is committed to identifying and nurturing these rising leaders.”
The year-long Rising Leaders Program includes a variety of professional development opportunities. Participants will attend RAPS Horizons: Regulatory and Beyond; a one-week RAPS Executive Development Program at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University; and monthly virtual leadership forums and activities. They also will complete a leadership development project carried out with the assistance of RAPS staff and volunteers and participate in 2011 RAPS: The Regulatory Convergence, RAPS’ annual conference, which will take place in Indianapolis, 22–26 October.
Participants will be chosen based on recommendations and references, commitment to the program, employer support, and written responses questions about leadership and their regulatory careers. Completed applications must be received by 1 March 2011. For more information, visit http://www.raps.org/education-amp-training/rising-leaders-program.aspx.
