LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Proteome Sciences PLC said the European Patent Office has granted a patent for its isobaric tandem mass tags, reagents used in protein experiments. The company, which makes machines that detect proteins in diseases, said the patent contains broad claims to isobaric mass tags and methods of their use as chemical reagents to label proteins.
