Monday, 23 March

At today's Plenary Session the DIA Board of Directors will present PHT Europe's General Manager Valdo Arnera, MD with the 2009 DIA Excellence in Volunteer Leadership Award. Dr. Arnera won the award in recognition of his many significant contributions to medicine, regulatory science, and people throughout the world during his distinguished career.

Tuesday, 24 March

Dr. Arnera will chair a session, "Integrating Different eClinical Data Streams: Needs and Benefits." With the increasing use of electronic means of collecting data during clinical trials, it is becoming tempting to integrate all these data streams as soon as possible. This session explores present solutions and looks at the future.

Dr. Stephen Raymond, PHT's CSO and Quality Officer, will chair a session, "Are the Benefits of eClinical Methods in Step with Regulations and Recent EMEA Guidance?" This discussion will focus on the promise of eSource and the challenges to its optimum adoption.
