Pfizer Inc. Says US Government Requests Information, Papers And Filing; Company Withdraws Application To Market Caduet In 12 European Regions

Pfizer Inc. said it has received requests for information and documents from the U.S. Justice Department related to payments to physicians for prescription medicines, according to a regulatory filing on Wednesday. The world’s largest drug maker also withdrew an application to market Caduet, a combination hypertension and cholesterol pill, in 12 European regions, according to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission filing.
