Omnicare Inc. (NYSE:OCR) should have a new chief executive by the end of September, about three months after the surprise resignation of CEO John Figueroa after less than a year and a half on the job, the Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
The Cincinnati-based provider of drugs for nursing homes and long-term care facilities said it is considering interim CEO John Workman, the company's chief financial officer, for the top job and conducting a search, the newspaper reports.
Figueroa resigned in June after 17 months on the job, the newspaper reports. He replaced CEO Joel Gemunder in January 2011.
