Novartis Corporation Makes Former R&D Head Its New Vaccines CEO

ZURICH, Nov 3 (Reuters) - Drugmaker Novartis (NOVN.VX: Quote, Profile, Research) has made Joerg Reinhardt the head of a new vaccines and diagnostics division which it plans to create following the acquisition of U.S. firm Chiron Corp. (CHIR.O: Quote, Profile, Research) . James Shannon, current head of clinical development, has been named to succeed Reinhardt in the role of head of pharmaceuticals development.
