NextPharma Technologies Announces Acquisition of Intervet’s Distribution Operation in Germany and Agreement to Supply Outsourced Logistics Services to Intervet Customers

Surrey, UK, 30th November 2009 - NextPharma, the leading European provider of product development, contract manufacturing and cold chain and logistics outsourcing services to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, is pleased to announce that it has signed an agreement, effective 1st January, 2010, with Intervet Deutschland GmbH (part of Merck & Co.) to acquire its Animal Health distribution operation in Garching near Munich, Germany.

Following the acquisition NextPharma will supply outsourced logistics services for Intervet’s veterinary products to their customers. These services will be provided by NextPharma Logistics GmbH through their dedicated team of professionals experienced in delivering a broad range of logistics services via NextPharma’s network of logistics facilities in Bielefeld and Waltrop (Germany), Turbenthal (Switzerland), Stockerau (Austria) and San Diego (America) to serve Germany, BeNeLux, Switzerland, Austria, Russia, Hungary, other eastern European countries as well as North America.
