MORGANTOWN, W.V., Dec. 8 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Blanchette Rockefeller Neurosciences Institute (BRNI) announced that Robert Bragg has been hired to serve as its new development director. Bragg will be responsible for raising private charitable contributions in support of BRNI’s research in memory disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease, stroke and traumatic brain injuries, as well as other outreach and education programs supported by the Institute.
Bragg will lead a growing effort to attract corporate and individual contributions from around the world to sustain BRNI research. Combined with support from federal sources, the State of West Virginia including WVU, traditional research grants, unique corporate partnerships and the Rockefeller family, the development director will manage a growing list of private BRNI funding sources aimed at greatly advancing early research successes.
“I am honored and greatly excited to be a part of the important work at the Rockefeller Institute, especially at this important moment in our history,” Bragg said. “I’m convinced that every charitable gift received today will have an immediate and dramatic impact on our achieving breakthroughs in the understanding of human memory, in new diagnostics, in treatments and in cures. I look forward to telling our story and gaining new support for our vital work in the months ahead.”
