Mettler-Toledo Release: New, Free Online Resource Helps Keep Laboratory Expertise Within Reach

A new, collaborative online reference library from METTLER TOLEDO covers everything from calibration issues to USP revisions to help users gain the competence necessary to achieve maximum accuracy and efficiency in the lab. Greifensee, Switzerland—July 18th, 2016—METTLER TOLEDO has launched a new web-based Laboratory Expertise library. Focused on the day-to-day concerns of lab operators and managers, this online resource will provide useful information to help streamline workflows, improve compliance, and enhance overall accuracy and productivity. Most importantly, lab personnel working around the world will be able to influence what topics the site addresses.

It is known that even expert-level lab personnel sometimes face issues that keep them from performing at their best. METTLER TOLEDO hopes that by continuing to collaborate on topics of interest with other members of the global scientific community, the reference library will become a comprehensive resource for enhancing the competence, compliance, and profitability of research and quality control labs worldwide.

Currently, the central page focused on promoting laboratory competence includes information on how to mitigate electrostatic influences that negatively affect weighing accuracy, how periodic calibration improves accuracy, and what it means to comply with USP revisions to Chapter 41 “Balances.” To submit a lab issue to be addressed for the competence library, email branko.radovinovic@mt.com.
