SOUTH JORDAN, Utah, July 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Merit Medical Systems, Inc. , a leading manufacturer and marketer of proprietary disposable devices used primarily in cardiology and radiology procedures, announced today that sales for the second quarter ended June 30, 2008 were approximately $57.4 million, an increase of 11% over the second quarter of 2007, which the Company believes will produce earnings in the range of $0.19-$0.21 per share for the quarter. Gross margins for the second quarter are estimated to be approximately 42.7%, which would result in an increase of 500 basis points from the second quarter of 2007.
The Company cautioned that these estimates are unaudited and are subject to modification or revision in the course of completing the Company’s quarter- end financial review and audit of the Company’s financial results.
