Medimix International Asia Commercial Manager Brings Valuable Experience in Chinese Lifesciences Market

January 10, 2011 -- Medimix International is pleased to announce the recent appointment of Ms. Jiayin He as Commercial Manager for Medimix Asia. Based in Medimix’s Shanghai office, Ms. He brings a comprehensive knowledge of the fields of biotechnology and chemistry, as well as medical research, license applications, and pharmaceutical sales in the Chinese hospital environment.

This combined understanding of medical research and Chinese doctors’ behavior promises to offer invaluable insights to Medimix clients.

“Jiayin He possesses a rather unique background which is extremely valuable to companies seeking to break into or cultivate the Asian markets,” commented Bruno Leraillez, Managing Director of Medimix Asia. “She is of course fluent in English and Chinese dialects and able to relate to both the world of research as well as marketing and sales. “

Jiayin took her degree in Biotechnology from Zheijiang University (China), followed by a Masters in Biochemistry from the University of Calgary (Canada). Moving into the research world, she began her career investigating the mechanisms of cardiovascular disease, as well as providing technical training to lab researchers in the use of biomedical tools.

Subsequently, she joined NHP Consulting where she wrote supporting documentation for NHP clients submitting license applications to the Canadian government and analyzed the efficacy and safety of biological databases. After a period of four years in Canada, she returned to Shanghai in 2008, where she worked as a pharmaceutical representative for Xian-Janssen (a J&J company) in the sale of general medicines to hospitals. During that period, she won several awards for sales penetration. As Commercial Manager for Medimix Asia, she will be responsible for business development and work closely with clients to oversee project management within the Asian markets.
