FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Feb. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- LifeSync Corporation is pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Phelps, Ph.D., as Senior Vice President of Research and Development. Dr. Phelps, who will report to President and CEO Shelley Hartman, will be responsible for leading all product design and development at LifeSync, including building the Company’s Technology Center at the Georgia Electronic Design Center (GEDC) at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta.
Dr. Phelps comes to LifeSync with over eighteen years experience in the design and development of high technology and wireless products for the medical, automotive and defense industries. Dr. Phelps joined LifeSync from Medtronic, Inc. where he recently led the Electronic Systems Technology as well as new Therapies and Diagnostics Product Development at the Microelectronics Center in Tempe, Arizona. Prior to Medtronic, he held leadership positions at Motorola’s Sensor Products Division in Tempe, Arizona, and Texas Instrument’s Defense Systems and Electronics Group in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Phelps received B.S. (Summa Cum Laude), M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering and holds a certification in Materials and Science Engineering from the Florida Institute of Technology, Melbourne, FL.
