Large independent agency announces latest senior hire in series of moves that support ongoing growth and build for the future
TORONTO & NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Klick Health today announced that seasoned healthcare marketing strategist Carl Turner has joined its growing team as Chief Brand Strategy Officer in a move that will help cement the independent hypergrowth agency’s position as the leading creative powerhouse and commercialization partner in the life sciences industry.
Today’s news follows the recent arrival of Chief Creative Officer Rich Levy, who earlier this month, announced the addition of 30 new creative team members to support Klick’s ongoing success. Levy, Chief Medical Officer Holly Henry, and EVP, Activation Strategy Cam Bedford will work alongside Turner – collectively leading one of the most dynamic and talented strategy and creative partnerships in life sciences.
“Carl is the perfect addition to the dream team we’ve been building at Klick,” said Glenn Zujew, Executive Vice President, Creative and Medical. “He has developed the strategy behind some of the industry’s leading brands and really knows how to leverage data and analytics in account planning. I am extremely energized about the future and how bringing together Carl, Rich, Holly, and Cam’s teams to collaborate will keep raising the bar for our clients.”
Building a dream team
“Agencies, within healthcare and beyond, are grappling with how to bridge strategy, creative, and activation,” said Turner. “Klick is uniquely positioned to solve for this with its entrepreneurial culture, innovation legacy, and collaborative ethos. There’s something different about Klick and I’m excited to be here as we build the best brand strategy team the industry has ever seen.”
Obsessed with creating unorthodox approaches to strategy, unique stories for brands, and inspired strategy teams, Turner brings almost two decades of experience in brand strategy, research, and analytics to Klick.
Before making his move to healthcare marketing, he worked as a medical assistant, social worker, market researcher, data scientist, professional saxophonist, social psychologist, and university statistics instructor.
Turner spent the past five years at Publicis Health, most recently as Managing Partner & Chief Strategy Officer of Razorfish. He also served as EVP, Head of Experience Strategy at Saatchi Wellness and EVP, Head of Strategy at Publicis LifeBrands Medicus during his tenure at Publicis Health. He has launched and positioned brands in nearly every therapeutic area, specializing in immunology, oncology, rare disease, and infectious disease.
He has also led strategy teams at HCP, DTC, CPG, and multicultural-focused agencies, including J. Walter Thompson, Commonground, and Palio.
