A judge sitting in Miami has sentenced a Las Vegas man to a year and a day in federal prison for his role in what the government called a medical device conspiracy. U.S. District Court Judge Patricia A. Seitz also ordered Gary L. Straus to forfeit $1.04 million. The government said the money represents the amount Straus personally received in the course of an illegal enterprise.
