Health Diagnostic Laboratory Inc. has created a package of tests to pinpoint the root causes of diabetes as much as a decade before a person develops the disease. The Richmond-based health management firm’s panel of 21 biochemical tests has uncovered nearly a third more patients who might be at risk for developing Type 2 diabetes than conventional testing, the company said.
