BARCELONA, Spain, March 7 (UPI) — A team of Spanish and U.S. scientists has identified a gene essential for cerebellum formation.Led by Marta Pascual of the University of Barcelona and Ibane Abasolo of Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona, the scientists identified a molecular switch that causes the differentiation of neurons in the cerebellum -- a part of the brain that helps to regulate motor functions.>>> Discuss This Story
