MORRISTOWN — A former executive at Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corp. in East Hanover has filed a lawsuit contending the company fired her for objecting to a proposed study that she said appeared to be a kickback disguised as research.

Min Amy Guo from the Towaco section of Montville, a former executive director of Novartis’ Health Economics and Outcomes Research Group, claims the study was proposed to be performed in June 2012 by a pharmaceutical distribution company working under the supervision of a group at Novartis “focused on client interaction,” and not research.
