Don Wright intends to step down at the end of this month as chief operating officer of Assurex Health, the Mason-based firm whose genetic tests help doctors determine the best medications to treat patients with mental health disorders.
Wright, who helped launch Assurex Health in 2008 and has the distinction of being employee No. 1, had an ownership stake in the company before it was acquired this year for $225 million by Myriad Genetics of Salt Lake City.
The deal with Myriad (NASDAQ: MYGN) could be worth up to $410 million for stakeholders in Assurex Health if growth and revenue milestones pegged at $185 million are met, and Wright said he will participate in earn-outs through next year.
