DUBLIN, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 11, 2006--Eksigent Technologies today announced that it has signed a distribution agreement with Applied Biosystems. Under the terms of the agreement, Applied Biosystems will offer a new line of high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) systems based on Eksigent’s proprietary technology integrated with Applied Biosystems/MDS SCIEX mass spectrometers (MS). Applied Biosystems/MDS SCIEX is a joint venture between Applied Biosystems Group, (NYSE:ABI), an Applera Corporation business, and MDS SCIEX, a division of MDS Inc. (NYSE:MDZ)(TSX:MDS).
