EarlySense®, the market leader in contact-free monitoring solutions announced today that Mr. John Barr, medical device executive and industry expert has joined the company’s board of directors.

Mr. John R. Barr has led some innovative and successful medical device companies. He was most recently Executive Vice President and President of Global Surgical at Bausch & Lomb Holdings Incorporated until the acquisition of Bausch and Lomb by Valeant Pharmaceuticals in 2013. Prior to Bausch and Lomb, Barr was the CEO of AGA Medical, pioneer and leader in minimally invasive devices to repair structural heart defects and other vascular defects. Mr. Barr led an IPO for the Company in 2009 and the business was sold to St. Jude Medical in 2010.
Mr. Barr is a graduate of the J. L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management-Northwestern University where he earned his Master’s degree in finance, accounting and economics. He earned his undergraduate degree in bioengineering from the University of Pennsylvania.
