Drug Information Association and FDA Discuss Current and Emerging Statistical Methodologies & Quantitative Approaches at Maryland Conference

HORSHAM, PA, USA—MARCH 29, 2012— DIA, in collaboration with FDA, announces the 6th Annual FDA/DIA Statistics Forum, April 23-25, 2012 in Bethesda, MD.

This conference will bring together statisticians, clinicians, epidemiologists, and those involved in drug safety, regulatory affairs and medical communications. It will offer in-depth discussions on hot topics relevant to the evaluation of therapeutic products and include input from key thought leaders from regulatory agencies, industry, and academia. Now in its sixth year, this interactive conference will offer a scientific poster session, a roundtable lunch, and opportunities for networking with colleagues.

Session topics will include:

- FDA Guidances: Multiple Endpoints in Clinical Trials and Non-Inferiority Clinical Trials

- Safety assessments during the pre- and postmarketing phases

- Novel approaches to establishing trust in data monitoring committees

- Clinical trial outcome assessments and good measurement science

- Subgroup analysis in clinical trials
