MANASSAS, Va., /PRNewswire/ -- Dr. Reginald Bennett, Senior Policy Analyst for the United States Food and Drug Administration was selected as Top Research Microbiologist of the Decade for 2019 by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP).
Dr. Bennett was just recently honored at IAOTP’s Annual Award Gala, for being selected not only for the Lifetime Achievement Award, but he was also selected as “Top Research Microbiologist of the Year for 2017!” www.iaotp.com/award-gala. Dr. Bennett is being recognized for having over 5 decades of professional experience in Microbiology and for his success not only as a medical bacteriologist & microbiologist but for also being a successful professor and Policy Analyst. Dr. Bennett has a very impressive repertoire of prior roles. Dr. Bennett started his career as a medical bacteriologist for the Presbyterian Hospital of Pittsburgh and then worked as a Medical Technologist and bacteriologist for Braddock General Hospital. He then took on a role as a bacteriologist for the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh and an assistant professor of microbiology for Benedict University. In 1960, he then became a Microbiologist for the US Food and Drug Administration where he currently holds the position of Senior Policy Analyst. His key responsibilities include, conducting research and analyzing bacterial food poisoning. Dr. Bennett earned his Bachelor of Science in Microbiology in 1955, and then earned his Master of Science in Microbiology in 1958 from the University of Pittsburgh. Throughout his illustrious career, Dr. Bennett has been active in his community and recognized worldwide for his outstanding leadership and commitment to the field. He has received numerous awards, accolades’ and has been featured in publications and magazines such as Who’s Who, Top 101 Industry Experts, Pro-Files Magazine and was on the front cover of TIP (Top Industry Professional) Magazine. In 2012, he was the recipient of the Man of the Year Award for Outstanding Pursuits and Achievement as a Senior Policy Analyst by the American Biographical Institute and Recipient of the Group Recognition Award as Member of the Bad Bug Book 2nd Edition, FDA.
