Diagnostic Hybrids, Inc. Announces Release of Analyte Specific Reagent (ASR) For Metapneumovirus (MPV)

ATHENS, Ohio--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Diagnostic Hybrids announced today the release of a new Analyte Specific Reagent (ASR) monoclonal antibody reagent that detects multiple antigens associated with Metapneumovirus (MPV). The reagent is available to clinical laboratories that perform high complexity testing for use in developing their own in-house tests and to non-clinical laboratories e.g. forensic, academic, or research. Diagnostic Hybrids obtained exclusive commercial rights to the MPV-specific monoclonal antibodies first described in 2005 by the IRCCS Policlinico San Matteo, Pavia, Italy. Multiple clinical research posters detailing the use of the MPV conjugate, which reacts with all 4 known MPV subtypes, were presented at the 22nd Clinical Virology Symposium in Clearwater Beach, Florida this past May.
