NEW YORK (EGMN) – Drug-eluting stents are becoming the standard of care in percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), but now that a variety of drugs are available for stents, practitioners have raised the question of which stents are best, and if the bare-metal stent still has application, as evidenced by a four-way debate at the Mount Sinai Symposium of Complex Coronary and Vascular Cases.
