NEWTON, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Clinical Data, Inc. (NASDAQ: CLDA) today announced results for its third fiscal quarter ended December 31, 2008. Total revenue for the third quarter rose 16% to $10.1 million, up from $8.7 million for the same period a year ago, when excluding the impact associated with certain Cogenics Icoria grant funded research projects of $1.8 million which concluded in December 2007. Revenue for the nine months ended December 31, 2008 increased $6.6 million, or 31%, to $28.2 million, when compared to the same period a year ago, excluding the impact associated with grant funded research projects of $4.7 million in this period.
