Chiltern International Ltd. Enhances Its Portfolio of Electronic Data Capture (EDC) Services

LONDON, June 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Chiltern, a leading global research organization announced today the integration of DataLabs v4.1.4 into its suite of clinical trial management applications providing sponsors and investigators with enhanced services for the collection and management of electronic clinical trial data. Chiltern has completed installation and validation of the DataLabs EDC system according to 21CRF Part 11 requirements. eCRF hosting services are available (with full server redundancy) at Chiltern locations in Bristol Tennessee (US) and London (UK) and the programming of several eCRFs by Chiltern is currently underway. Chiltern’s in-house EDC capabilities now include provision of all eClinical services relating to DataLabs by ClinPhone with resulting efficiency savings for our sponsors.

In April 2008, Chiltern staff have also achieved Medidata Rave(R) certification using Medidata’s ASPire to Win Program. As a result and in addition to our well established existing Rave(R) services relating to EDC training and data management, Chiltern now also has the capability to program eCRFs using Rave(R) and collaborates with Medidata for support services such as hosting.

“Chiltern continues to be at the vanguard of EDC technology implementation,” said Jim Esinhart, VP Global Biometrics, “and we are pleased to be able to assist our sponsors with our detailed knowledge and experience in clinical trials combined with the flexibility to utilize two of the leading EDC systems in Medidata Rave(R) and ClinPhone EDC. Where our sponsors express a preference for other systems, Chiltern’s general EDC experience also allows us to continue to work with other EDC vendors in service areas such as EDC training, data management and monitoring. In particular, Chiltern has a strong track record with PhaseForward’s InForm(TM) software.”
