ChemImage To Showcase Innovative Forensic Hyperspectral Imaging And Portable Raman Instrumentation At AAFS Annual Scientific Meeting

PITTSBURGH, Feb. 10, 2015 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- ChemImage will exhibit its hyperspectral imaging and portable Raman instrumentation at this month's American Academy of Forensic Sciences (AAFS) Annual Scientific Meeting in Orlando, Florida. More than 3,000 forensic professionals representing all states in the U.S. and 66 countries worldwide will convene at this annual conference for the purpose of forensic science education.

At the conference, ChemImage will exhibit HSI Examiner 1000 and Agility instruments during the Expo on February 18 20 and will feature demonstrations of these innovative tools that have been developed with the forensic document examiner in mind.  The hyperspectral imaging platforms showcased on the HSI Examiner 1000 will be demonstrated to forensic scientists for the applications of questioned documents, biological stains, fingerprints and gunshot residue.  Additionally, attendees will have the opportunity to see the value of  the company's dual-band, portable Raman system, Agility to identify a variety of substances.  The Agility has been designed as a lightweight and compact instrument that is prepared to travel into the field for multiple forensic analysis applications, including ignitable fluids and explosives, toxic solvents, and drug classification.
