CERAM to Present at Medtec Ireland

19 Sept. 2011 (Stoke-on-Trent, UK) - Ceram, the global materials technology consultancy that focuses on innovation, sustainability and quality, will once again be exhibiting at Medtec Ireland in Cork on 5-6 October.

Ben McCarthy, Technical Consultant at Ceram, will also be speaking at the Conference. His talk, ‘Surface Analysis Comparison of In-vitro Bioactivity Testing’ will focus on how surface analytical techniques can analyse different deposition methods and highlight comparisons between immersion and in-vitro cell testing.

Determined to stay at the forefront of medical materials and technologies innovation, Ceram has recently developed a new series of multi-elements-substituted hydroxyapatites, biomaterials with enhanced performance and different biological properties. New controlled release technologies have also been developed, using bioglasses and bioceramics as carriers for a variety of active ingredients. Ceram now offers client-bespoke formulations for specific applications, including the controlled release of pharmaceutical active compounds and also the enabling of sequential, and time and site well-ordered, delivery of multiple agents.
