Carl Zeiss Brings “ZEISS On Your Campus” to Select Universities in 2009

Thornwood, NY - Carl Zeiss, a leading provider of microscopy solutions for a variety of research, clinical and industrial applications, will launch its “ZEISS On Your Campus” traveling tour in 2009 in an effort to bring technology and training with the latest ZEISS microscopes to universities across the United States and Canada. The Campus will provide participants with a unique opportunity to participate in workshops focused on digital microscopy, as well as educational seminars and hands-on training sessions with the latest microscopes from ZEISS.

Sessions will offer participants the chance to work with ZEN and AxioVision software, as well as covering more general topics related to digital microscopy. As the leading provider of turnkey imaging systems, ZEISS offers participants the opportunity to determine which imaging techniques provide the best results for individual samples, compare different optical sectioning techniques, and discuss results with workshop instructors. Each workshop operates with the goal of providing researchers with an opportunity to achieve the highest quality, most repeatable results possible.

The three-day workshops will kick off in February 2009 and travel throughout the Pacific, Mid-West, South, Mid-Atlantic, and Northeast in the United States, and Western and Eastern Canada over a five month traveling tour. For information on how to participate, please visit www.zeiss.com/signup to find a workshop near you. Attendance at workshops is free to all participants. Educational materials and free software for image viewing and manipulation will be provided to registered participants. Additionally, ZEISS will send a complete packet outlining contents and schedules for seminars, hands-on training sessions and demonstrations in which participants can select content that suits their interests and applications.
