WAYLAND, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Candela Corporation (NASDAQ: CLZR) announced today that the Western Pennsylvania Electrical Employees' Pension Fund filed a putative securities class-action lawsuit in federal court in Massachusetts yesterday against Candela Corporation, based in Wayland, MA (NASDAQ: CLZR), its President and CEO, Gerard E. Puorro, and its former Chief Financial Officer, F. Paul Broyer. The complaint does not plead a specified amount of damages. Candela has reviewed the complaint, which it believes to be without merit, and the Company intends to vigorously defend against the lawsuit.
