WAYLAND, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Candela Corporation (NASDAQ: CLZR) announced today that the United States Patent & Trademark Office (“PTO”) has agreed in a non-final office action that independent claim 12 and related dependent claims 13-14 are unpatentable, but confirmed that claims 1-3, 6-8, 11, 17-20, 27, 28, 30 and 32 of the '844 patent are patentable based upon the printed prior art provided to the PTO. Palomar also added 27 new claims (33-59) to the '844 patent, and the PTO confirmed these new claims as patentable.
