RALEIGH, N.C., Jan. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Campbell Alliance, the leading management consulting firm specializing in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries, today announced that its Clinical Development Practice will be prominently featured at marcus evans’ Clinical Trial Data Integration Conference to be held January 23-25, 2006 at the Wyndham Philadelphia at Franklin Plaza in Philadelphia.
Campbell’s Gary Tyson, Vice President, and Tim Dietlin, Senior Practice Executive, will present a three-hour pre-conference workshop. Mr. Tyson will also participate in a panel discussion on the second day of the conference.
The workshop, titled “Redesigning Your Organization’s Clinical Development Processes to Maximize the Benefit of Electronic Data Capture (EDC) Technologies,” will focus on an approach pharmaceutical and biotech companies can apply to restructure their organization’s internal clinical development processes to make the most effective use of EDC technologies. Their presentation will also provide strategies to develop goals and metrics to maximize return-on-investment, as well as methods for training internal staff members. The workshop will be conducted on January 23 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Mr. Tyson brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to improving the operational infrastructure of clinical development organizations. He has an extensive background in partnering with large and midsize pharmaceutical and biotech companies to solve a wide range of operational challenges, including organizational structure, outsourcing strategy, and process improvement.
“Our team has helped execute some of the industry’s largest and most complex EDC implementations,” commented Tyson. “While many companies are simply integrating technology platforms on top of existing clinical development processes, we’ve found that it is critical for these processes to shift as well-from data collection process at clinical sites through training and rollout to the internal clinical development team. Accurately redesigning internal processes is essential to any company realizing the full potential of EDC technologies,” he continued.
Mr. Dietlin leads Campbell Alliance’s specialty practice dedicated to helping companies realize the benefits of EDC technologies, including developing EDC strategies, navigating the technology vendor landscape, and redesigning clinical development processes and organization structures to leverage investments in EDC technology.
Mr. Tyson will also participate in a panel discussion, “Choosing a Vendor that Can Meet Specific Integration Expectations,” on January 24 from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The panel will include three eClinical technology vendors and will discuss the ability of service providers to meet the specifications necessary to improve the processes of pharmaceutical and biotech companies that make an investment in EDC.
