Seattle-based Callison Architecture Inc. said it has formed a new division dedicated to planning and design services for biotechnology facilities. Callison hired Michael O’Hara from Eichleay Engineers Inc. in Concord, Calif., as an associate principal to lead the life sciences group. O’Hara was responsible for managing the facilities division specializing in biotech and pharmaceutical projects for Eichleay. O’Hara’s group will include consultant specialists and will offer architectural, regulatory-compliance and engineering services for research laboratories, pilot plants and manufacturing plants.
