Boston Scientific Corporation Wins Cleveland Clinic $18M Deal

CHICAGO, Dec 21 (Reuters) - Medical device maker Boston Scientific Corp. (BSX.N: Quote, Profile , Research) had signed a two-year deal to be the exclusive supplier of stents to the Cleveland Clinic, CNBC reported on Thursday. The deal is worth about $18 million a year and prohibits the Cleveland Clinic from buying Johnson & Johnson (JNJ.N: Quote, Profile , Research) stents unless a safety issue arises with the Boston Scientific stents, CNBC said, citing a source close to the negotiations.
