Zurich 14 December 2011 – Bitplane, a world leading creator and supplier of 3D and 4D image processing, analysis and visualization software, today announced the launch of their new Imaris 7.4 software. The latest version of Imaris software brings a set of breakthrough features pushing confocal data analysis beyond visualization. Imaris 7.4 also adds several enhancements to other key Imaris features within modules, enabling users to perform increasingly more challenging image analysis.
ImarisVantage is a new module of Imaris for presenting microscopy image data in multiple dimensions. With ImarisVantage users can discern and extract more information from intrinsically complex microscopic data sets. ImarisVantage enables the researchers to dissect multi-dimensional, multi-object images by creating series of fully customizable object representations.
With multiple plots at the user’s disposal, one can turn 3 or 4D data into a dynamic gallery of individual objects or create an advanced, multi-dimensional time plot. ImarisVantage users can construct informative scatter plots to produce very detailed representations of image data in four dimensions with additional scale- and color-coding for better understanding of hidden relationships between objects. ImarisVantage is supported by Imaris MeasurementPro’s analytical engine to access a vast array of object parameters, annotating them with the calculated key statistics.
Other key features of Imaris 7.4 include support of MicroManager file format for data import into Imaris, novel segmentation functions in ImarisCell, more flexible filament analysis in Imaris FilamentTracer and further expansion of ImarisXT.
Building on the success of Imaris software to date, new features in Imaris 7.4 will greatly enhance the performance of existing Imaris systems making it the clear software choice for 3D and 4D visualization and analysis. Imaris is Bitplane’s core software platform and delivers industry-leading functionality for visualization and analysis of 3D and 4D microscopy data sets. Imaris has been experiencing ongoing success as it continues to outperform competition with a higher degree of interaction and ability to process very large image data sets.
