BioMarin Pharmaceutical, which makes orphan drugs for rare diseases that especially affect children, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to its Marin County headquarters by seeking permission to build more than 72,000 square feet of office space in a parking lot at the San Rafael Corporate Center.
BioMarin bought the center in 2014 for $116.5 million and is already building an 85,000-square-foot research facility and a parking garage on the site.
