Josh Kornberg has been named CEO of BioDrain Medical Inc., a Mendota Heights-based company that makes technology for disposal of contaminated surgical fluids.
Kornberg, 38, is a founding partner of APA, a New York-based private equity fund, BioDrain (OTCBB: BIOR) said in a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
He was elected to the company’s board in March and has been serving as its interim CEO since April.
BioDrain’s product is designed to help operating rooms dispose of fluids generated during surgical procedures. The device, mounted on a wall, helps direct fluids to a sanitary sewer, so the waste doesn’t have to be transported in canisters.
