LONDON, Oct. 20, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Avi Lasarow, CEO of Trimega Laboratories, a leading company for testing hair for substance abuse, yesterday opened the 2011 National Children and Adult Services Conference (NCASC), welcoming over one thousand delegates to the International Convention Centre (ICC) London ExCel. The 2011 NCASC is entitled ‘Tough Times, Good Decisions’ and is a vital event for all professionals with responsibilities for education, children’s services and adult care in the statutory, voluntary and private sectors.
As Trimega is the primary sponsor of the event, Avi Lasarow delivered a welcome address at the conference opening, saying: “It is a great privilege as main sponsor to be invited to welcome you all here to the annual National Children and Adult Services Conference. Lasarow went on to invite delegates to Trimega’s fringe event “Hair testing for drug and alcohol abuse the science of child protection”, which was held on October 20th and highlighted the role hair testing can play in helping to safeguard children.
The official opening was also attended by Councillor David Rogers OBE, Chairman, LG Group Community Well-being Programme Board; Peter Hay, President, Association of Directors of Adult Services; and Matt Dunkley, President, Association of Directors of Child Services.
1200 delegates heard addresses from Sarah Teather MP, Minister of State for Children and Families; Tim Loughton MP, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Children and Families; and Paul Burstow MP, Minister of State for Children’s Services. During the breakout sessions the delegate groups also had the chance to debate the Family Justice Review and Munro Review of Child Protection with delegates from a number of councils, and the Ministry of Justice.
Trimega’s stand is located at position D1, at the main entrance to the exhibition, which is open until 2:30pm, October 21st.
