Twenty-one companies pitch medical innovations at TMCx Demo Day 2015
Houston, TX – September 11, 2015 – Texas Medical Center’s (TMC) life science accelerator program, TMCx, gathered Thursday to present their progress and future plans during TMCx Demo Day 2015. Twenty-one TMCx companies pitched their technologies to an audience of over 400 participants comprised of investors, hospital stakeholders, industry partners and advisors at TMC’s Innovation Institute, a 100,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility.
“We are extremely proud of our first group of TMCx entrepreneurs,” said Dr. Robert C. Robbins, President and CEO, TMC. “From ideation to commercialization, we have worked closely with entrepreneurs to refine their ideas, plans, products and services that seek to advance and improve human health.”
Throughout the six-month program, the TMCx participants had access to more than 50 hours of entrepreneurship curriculum including the Lean Startup methodology, 110 advisors, and the opportunity to attend over 20 industry networking events.
