CAMBRIDGE, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Biogen Idec Inc. (NASDAQ: BIIB) today announced that both RiskMetrics Group/ISS Governance Services and Glass, Lewis & Co. recommend that Biogen Idec stockholders vote the WHITE proxy card FOR all four of Biogen Idec’s nominees for election to the Board at the Company’s Annual Meeting of Stockholders on June 19. In endorsing the Biogen Idec nominees, RiskMetrics and Glass Lewis recommend that their clients NOT vote on the Gold proxy card for Carl Icahn’s slate of dissident director nominees. The proxy advisory firms also endorsed voting with the Board’s recommendations on all other proposals outlined in the Company’s proxy statement.
