Every battery in the Ontrion medical device line is backed by the CB Test Certificate IEC 62133, is certified by the FCC and is listed by UL.
Considered one of the most important safety standards for Lithium-Ion batteries, the IEC 62133 standard was updated on May 1, 2012. At that time, the standard stipulated that in order for batteries to receive CB certification, both the battery itself and its cells must be fully tested to IEC 62133 standards. The FCC certification, issued by the Federal Communications Commission, provides further assurance that Ontrion’s medical device batteries have been test to the appropriate FCC Code. As a final safeguarding measure, the medical device batteries Ontrion manufactures contain UL listed cells. This means that during independent testing, Underwriters Laboratories found that samples of the batteries met UL’s safety requirements.
