NORTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. — A manufacturer of cold therapy packs in North Kingstown has acquired a Florida-based manufacturer of sports medicine devices, the companies announced.
Modular Thermal Technologies LLC plans to expand its operations as a result of its purchase of Life Wear Technologies Inc., of Pompano Beach, Fla., said Brad Waugh, Modular’s chief executive officer. Life Wear makes compression bandages such as knee and ankle braces.
“It’s a great acquisition,” Waugh said. “We’re going to be able to create new products.”
