Kathleen Haley Joins QMed, Inc.

EATONTOWN, N.J., Nov. 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- QMed, Inc. today announced Kathleen Haley, RN, BSN, BS, BA, A-CCC, CCM, CLA has joined the Company as Vice President, Health Management Services (HMS) Division. She is responsible for HMS operations, as well as of ensuring the clinical integrity and quality of QMed’s SNP products to patients and physicians.

Haley served previously as a senior clinical leader for Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina where she upgraded the quality and visibility of the Case Management department. She reorganized the departments in three months, increased productivity and obtained a positive ROI. In addition, she headed the medical resource management team that reviewed and made recommendations for both corporate medical policy and product development. She was Medical Resource Management business owner of the team that configured and implemented new healthcare services IT software that streamlined workflows for the entire medical resource management area. This project went live by the deadline and was brought in on budget.

She had also developed the Case Management team for the Memorial Sisters of Charity Health Plan (MSCH) in Houston, Texas. Her duties included developing policies and procedures, hiring, training and mentoring the staff. She was Project Manager for the MSCH Medicare +Choice (Medicare Advantage) startup. Humana subsequently purchased MSCH in 2000.
