BALTIMORE, March 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Leslie Mancuso, RN, PhD, and CEO of JHPIEGO, announced the appointment of Kenneth M. Jones II as Chief Financial Officer of the organization. JHPIEGO, an international health organization affiliated with Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Md., trains and supports healthcare providers including doctors, nurses, midwives, and health educators, working in limited resource settings throughout Africa, Asia, the Middle East, Latin America, and Europe, and is focused on improving the health of women and children.
Jones directed Finance and Information Technology for Pfizer, Inc. in the confectionery manufacturing area, a business that generates around $2 billion in annual revenues for which he coordinated the budget and operating plan process in Manchester, England. While at Pfizer, he provided financial leadership for European manufacturing sites and oversaw financial responsibilities for finance, accounting, payroll and IT in the corporation’s Rockford, Ill., facility.
At the Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, Mich., Jones handled multiple aspects of finance for the $163.6 billion automotive manufacturer, working in the areas of operations, manufacturing and product development and customer service, rising through the ranks from cost analyst to warranty finance manager, in Ford’s Customer Service Division and participated in the Ford College Finance Development Program.
Jones joins JHPIEGO from Mirant Corporation, an international energy marketing company where he was assistant to the senior vice president for Finance and Accounting, responsible for consolidating monthly/quarterly financial statements for internal and SEC reporting, creating a monthly reporting schedule for key financial data, and decreasing the monthly close and consolidation process by 25% while improving efficiency.
Jones holds an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Sloan School of Management, an MA in Economics from the State University of New York at Buffalo, and a BA from Boston University.
