BLOOMINGTON, Minn., Sept. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- HealthPartners today announced the grand opening of the HealthPartners Specialty Center, the first and largest freestanding multi-specialty clinic in the East-metro area. With more than 170 providers practicing more than 20 health care specialties on site, the building features fully integrated electronic medical records between all providers, Regions Hospital, and other HealthPartners clinics.

The building’s design and construction relied heavily upon input from both patients and the providers who serve them. People from each care specialty provided input into their workspace design to make care-giving as efficient and effective as possible. HealthPartners also relied on a patient advisory council, which provided input into the type of care and experience they would like to receive from the people at the specialty center.

The four-story, 130,000 square-foot facility, located at the intersection of Phalen Blvd. and Westminster Ave. in St. Paul, opens to patients for the first time on Monday, Oct. 10, 2005.
