MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Feb. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Kosmix (www.kosmix.com) announced today that its industry-leading Kosmix Health Search technology will be made available to users of Healthia, the nation’s first integrated comparison-shopping portal for healthcare products and services. Based on sophisticated, patent-pending algorithms, Kosmix presents a multi-dimensional view of search results that enables consumers to search less, while finding the most useful information on the Web more easily. Kosmix officially launched its Health Search technology this week at the DEMO 2006 Conference in Phoenix.
Kosmix Health Search categorizes Web pages, producing search results that show users a multi-dimensional view of relevant web content. This approach reduces the number of clicks it takes users to find what really matters to them, and presents useful information they may not have considered otherwise.
Healthia, which launched last month, allows businesses and consumers to research, rate and purchase health insurance plans and Health Savings Accounts (HSAs), as well as choose doctors from across the country. As part of this agreement, Kosmix also will provide Healthia with paid search ads through its relationship with Google, and the companies will share all ad revenue derived from the Healthia site.
