Harvard Drug Group LLC Ordered to Pay $8M to Settle Oxycodone Case

Detroit Free Press -- A Livonia pharmaceutical supplier will pay $8 million to resolve claims that it sold a large volume of prescription drugs that ended up being used illegally, U.S. Attorney Barbara McQuade announced today.

Under the settlement, Harvard Drug Group LLC, which was accused of violating the Controlled Substances Act, will pay $8 million to the government during the next three years. The government, however, has agreed to suspend the final $2-million payment if Harvard shows that it has an effective regulatory compliance program.
