BOERNE, TX – November 8, 2013 – Gilbert A. Mejia has been promoted to General Manager, a new position with responsibilities and oversight of Stanbio Laboratory an EKF Diagnostics Company. All department managers at the Texas based company will report directly to him. Most recently, Mr. Mejia was Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Stanbio in charge of the EKF group’s business activities in the Americas.

Gilbert has led the commercial team at Stanbio very successfully and will now use his excellent experience to take the company to the next level,” said Chief Operating Officer of EKF Diagnostics Holdings plc, Richard Evans. “Gilbert will be instrumental in developing and growing our business throughout North America, Latin America, and Asia,” Evans added.
Mr. Mejia brings more than 17 years of commercial experience in the in-vitro diagnostic industry to the EKF group, which holds multiple locations in Germany, Ireland, the U.S. and the U.K. His career successes point to strengths in building top-performing sales teams, strategic and tactical planning, and domestic and international marketing sales.
