Amarillo Biosciences, Inc. (ABI) (OTCBB: AMAR) today announced that Dr. Manfred Beilharz, Chairman of the Department of Microbiology and Immunology, School of Biomedical, Biomolecular and Chemical Sciences at the University of Western Australia, was recently interviewed by Graham Mabury on 6PR Nightline, a radio program in Australia. Dr. Beilharz is a co-investigator of the ongoing Phase 2, 200-subject clinical trial that is testing the efficacy of ABI’s oral interferon alpha in preventing influenza and winter colds.
Dr. Beilharz discusses the development history and mechanism of action of oral interferon as well as the ongoing Phase 2 clinical trial in Perth, Australia in which 200 healthy volunteers are taking oral interferon lozenges provided by Amarillo Biosciences, Inc. or a matching placebo once a day for 16 weeks as a prevention for winter colds and influenza.
