Dave Spence, chairman and majority shareholder at Legacy Pharmaceutical Packaging, has added another title to his job at the contract pharmaceutical packaging firm: chief executive. Spence, 55, began working in a day-to-day role earlier this month at the Earth City-based firm, taking over for Tom Harmon, who left the company after two and a half years to return to The PrivateBank in St. Louis as managing director. Spence previously had served as president of Alpha Packaging for 26 years before resigning in 2011 to run for governor on the Republican ticket.
